My carpet is decades old with worn traffic lanes down the hall. Is cleaning even worth it, or is it past saving?

Honest answer: it depends on what's causing the look. It isn't a spill and normal vacuuming won't touch it. It takes a dedicated edge treatment and agitation, and results vary with how long the line has been building. How soon can someone get out here, and do you ever do same-day?

Same-day is often possible if you call early in the day and we still have an opening in the South LA area; otherwise we're usually scheduling within a day or two. A few things to know when you book: many homes here have narrow lots and no driveway to speak of, so let us know where we can park, and mention if there's a rear addition or converted unit that also needs cleaning so we allow enough time in the schedule.

We don't have a lawn, so it's mostly dry dust that gets tracked in. Does that change how you clean?

It does. Without grass out front, what comes through the door here is dry grit and urban dust rather than mud. That soil is abrasive and it settles down at the base of the pile where a household vacuum doesn't reach, which is exactly what grinds carpet down over time. So we put real emphasis on dry soil removal and agitation before any moisture goes down. Skipping that step turns the grit into a slurry and leaves the carpet looking dull once it dries.
